Sweet Chiming Christmas Bells by Tewkesbury Town Band
Few seasonal sounds evoke the spirit of Christmas for me more than that of a Brass Band in full flow. It was probably my North of England upbringing which tuned my young ears to the Sunday morning Salvation Army players, who brought a little welcome culture onto the streets of some of the Lancashire towns in which I lived.
This morning the musicians of Tewkesbury Town Band braved the chilly air to entertain passers-by with some traditional melodies, as the audio clip under the snapshot should reveal.
