Diagonals

When guitarist Mark Bennet was gigging in Worcester’s Cellar Bar, he handed me his camera, before his set, asking me to take a few pics for his web space. I already knew that he too had spent many years as a professional photographer, so I did him the courtesy of turning the only available mini-spotlight onto him, from roughly the right sort of direction. Well, the one I really wanted was being used by the sound engineer, to illuminate his mixing desk, so I left that one alone, in the interests of good relations.

 Mark said, when I asked him later, that he liked this shot "because of the angle". Which just goes to prove what I’m always saying here about diagonals adding interest to images.
