I don't know what started my fascination with mirrors, especially when they reflect each other's light, but one of my early childhood memories is of playing with an aunt's dressing table. It had hinged, mirrored wings on each side of a single, central looking glass: very Deco.
With careful positioning, I could stare into a deep, green, gently curving infinity. But however hard I tried, I could never measure the speed of light by turning my pen light on and off very fast, even though it had a push-button switch.
I had a dressing table like that and did exactly the same!

Ooh, you surprised me: your comment popped in during the 20 second gap between me editing deco to Deco.
